Comment:

I am trying to connect to my G4 at home from
work. The home Mac runs OSX and is
connected to a D-Link router. The work Mac
runs OS9. I set up the router's Virtual Server
option and made sure that OSX is set to share
the Public folder. Also, the home Mac is set not
to sleep.

I get no response trying to connect using
afp://192.X.X.X (obviously I replaced the X's with
the actual IP address of the Mac I am trying to
connect to). If I need to use the router's IP
address instead, how do I find this (since I'm
using DHCP and it's always changing, right?)

Any advice on how this kind of remote access
works or direction to a similar thread would be
greatly appreciated -- I couldn't find one.

Thanks!
