connecting switch to hub

so far i've been trying to connect my new switch (d-link des 1008d) to my existing hub in the office but i failed. i'm using the uplink port on my switch connected using str8 cable to one of normal port in the hub. anyone could help me with my problems, i've checked everything including the cable they're fine, i'm using the lan for internet and i want to add 2 more computer in my section

Does the LED even come one when you connect them?
Try reversing it so the the uplink is on the HUB to a normal port on the SWITCH.

yes all the led is on but still i can't make a connection, and the uplink port on the hub already been used

Try a cross over cable with normal ports on both side of the hubs.

nope still didn't work, anyway i swap it with a hub from other section and my switch hub works fine there but the other hub still didn't work on my section, and the hub i swap with also connected with the samem main hub

Is it auto sensing on 10/100? Can you get into the console port and configure the port speed?
