My mate has bought a Netgear DG632 router and wants to know whether you need to use an ethernet cable to connect it to his computer or can he use the usb wireless adapter to connect as his computer is a far distance from his phone line.

The 6323 is a combined modem/router without WiFi support. Therefore he can try to exchange the 632 fo a model with WiFi as well, or buy a WiFi router.

The USB connection on the router is specifically used to USB cable connect to a PC.
