Hi all!

Ok the way I want to configure my setup is as follows. I have a server with ICS enabled and 2 network cards. I want to go from the server to my wireless router, and from my wireless router to the rest of my workstations. Everything was working fine with a standard hub, I cant seem to figure out how to make it work with the router. Ive tried disabling DHCP on the router and using the connection from the server in the WAN port and in a LAN port. Anyone else have some advice? Should I try a crossover cable or something?

Thanks
Dolaf

yes, try crossover cable. By the way, if you have a router, why do you use ICS?

blin has a point. Why use ICS if you have a router?

Crossover cable is not needed though.

Also, why 2 NICs? You only need one!

The server is a DHCP server? If it is, make sure that the options are set correct to give the clients a default gateway.

Turn off DHCP on the router

Server = 192.168.0.10
Router = 192.168.0.1

(DHCP option set to give clients gateway 192.168.0.1)

Client machines = 192.168.0.x
