Connecting remote computers

I have two pcs 30 km away from each other.I use Plut to surf modems on these computers for internet connectivity.I need to access information on one computer on the other .I can't afford a server,can you recommend a proper card for this problem(someone has suggested a nat card)

Are you using dialup?
Or are each of these pcs on the internet?

I mean"plug to surf modems" i.e a portable internet modem inserted inUS B port is used to obtain Internet conection.No telephone conection is required
