Specs: Windows 7 (Modern Laptop) Windows 2000 (Old Laptop)
I have a computer that does not have an Ethernet port and i was wondering if i could connect it to my modern laptop that is connected to the internet via wi-fi using a telephone wire and dial up modem, i am aware that it would be quite slow, but is it possible? Just to clarify, I want to know if this is possible:

old laptop>telephone wire>modern laptop>wi-fi>internet

I doubt it's possible.

It may be possible for someone like me if I were interested in, and willing to, spend hours tinkering around. For someone less experienced with computers, forget it.

The simple solution to getting your computer online is to buy a NIC (network interface card) and install it. A good NIC costs about $20.00

I do not know if this will work, but if both have a Parallel Port, maybe:

"Using a direct cable connection - peer to peer or null modem connection"
