My dad stood on my laptop- DONT ASK, and I want to transfer over some of the documents I already have on my laptop to a desktop computer or another laptop- How can I do this and what would I need??

You would need a crossover cable to directly connect the two and transfer files.

You can also take a look on connecting 2 computers directly by using crossover cable article here if you face problem.
