How do you set up the cables to connect a Cisco 2924 switch to a Cisco 2501 router?
I can't seem to figure this out. I want to connect them devices and be able to plug a PC into the switch and get to the outside world.
Thanks!

Well, you pick a port on the switch that you want to use for the uplink (say fa0/24) and then choose a free ethernet port on the router to do the same with. Then, you plug a cable into both ports.
That's the easy part.
Once you have them physically connected and turned on, you then have to configure the ports on both.
Enterprise level equipment is not like SOHO level equipment. With a SOHO router you can basically plug the puppy in and then start plugging in cables and it'll work. Not so with managed switches and routers.

The problem is the router only has one ethernet port. Well ti is actually an AUI port that I use a Transceiver to convert it to an RF45 port.

Here's a link to Cisco 2500 series router installation and configuration guide
I was looking online for a picture or spec sheet on that model being as how I'm not familiar with it.
All I can tell you is, if it doesn't have an ethernet port, then it may have a place you can add a module that does have one. At least the old 2600 series routers we have kicking around in our storage closet have those.

It is a 2501 with one Ethernet port. I need to know how to hook-up the cables. How do I physically cable this beast.
I want this to be hook to my network then this router be hooked up to a Cisco switch then my pc's runing off my switch.
How do I wire this thing up?

If it only has one ethernet port and you can't add a module with one or more ethernet ports then I don't know how you're going to hook it up.
You'll need two ethernet ports on the router. One going to your highspeed internet connection and the other to your switch.

It has one ethernet port, 2 serial ports, an AUX port, a console port and a power cord connection.
