Connecting a LAN to a WLAN

Ok, I have a PC running Windows 98SE, connected to a BT Voyager router via USB, which connects my whole network to the internet. The router is also connected to a USR 8054 wireless router via ethernet. The USR router connects two wireless PCs running Windows XP Home to the network.
All Pcs can access the internet. Both wireless PCs can exchange files and access each other via the network.
Why can't I get the 98 machine to see the two wireless PCs on the network? Also, why can't the wireless PCs see the 98 machine on the network?

That config would result in two different subnets which is why they can't communicate. Disable dhcp on the usr and let the BT do it all so they are all in the same subnet.

Why is it that i can access the config utility built in to th BT router from both wireless XP machines then?
And that's annoying - to get the BT router to act as the DHCP server, I've gotta find where my mum has hidden the password to change said feature!

Good point. Do you have multiple protocols/network devices in the 98 boxes? if so remove them except for tcp/ip and the nic. you say they can all ping each other. do you mean a 98 box can ping a xp box?

Yes, that's what I mean.
And each PC only has one network device in, except for the 98 machine. The BT router is connected to the 98 machine via USB, not Ethernet.
