|Curt - the router to router connection does not apply to rolandv's scenario unless I am misunderstanding his post. It sounds to me like he swapped his old router for the new D-Link 826L gigabit one and now clients that are connected to his downstream DSS16+ switch are having issues being accessed. |
rolandv - Please elaborate on what you mean when you say that downstream devices connected to the DSS cannot be accessed. Are you trying to ping them from a client connected directly to the new router? Are you trying to access them from external to the network?
How was the network originally configured? I am assuming it was
internet --> Old Router --> DSS --> clients
if this is correct, are you sure that the new router has the same firewall rules, port forwarding configuration, and IP address/subnet information as your previous one?
Please post back with some more information so that we can assist you further. Thanks!
