Hi all
i have a UTP cable (which is less than 100M) and when i'm wiring it, i found out that i'm 5-7 Meters short from the required length. i need to extend the length of the UTP by attaching an extra piece of UTP Cable.
is there a way to do this? is it possible to connect?? if yes, what equipment do i need to do this?

You need an RJ-45 coupler.

You can buy them at most computer stores. They're pretty inexpensive units. Just a little square piece of plastic with an RJ-45 jack on opposite ends of it.

If you have two RJ-45 keystone jacks and a punchdown tool and some cable you could make your own (I've done that a few times...lol)
