Hello,

This is my configuration:
I have 1 PC running Windows XP Pro with IP 192.168.1.10,SM:255.255.255.0, DG:192.168.1.2(this is the internal ip of server).
A Windows 2003 Server with 2 network adaptors (internal IP:192.168.1.2,
SM:255.255.255.0 ,
DG:192.168.2.2
External IP:192.168.2.2
SM:255.255.255.0
DG:192.168.2.1 (router ip)
And a Fritz!Fon Box Router with internal IP: 192.168.2.1 and external IP the ISP's Dynamic IP for DSL Internet.
I want to be able to have internet from my internal LAN (192.168.1.xxx) through my external LAN (192.168.2.xxx).
What do I have to do to Windows 2003 Server for this concept to work right?
Internet works right only from the server with that configuration. But the internet don't works from the internal lan.In addition the internal lan can ping 192.168.2.2, but can't ping 192.168.2.1(Router).
Be possible to use route add something? ( HOW????)
The 2 network cards of the server doesn't have any firewall.
(In near future I will install ISA2004 Server for testing purposes).

Thank you in advance!

You are calling 192.168.2.2 an external LAN. That is incorrect. That is not an external IP address. It is just another subnet that you created which is ok but not necessary. It would be a lot easier if everything was on one subnet. That would give all PCs internet access. If you still want to use both subnets, then try to configure the router to handle both and plug both cards into it.

One issue...probably both your 2003 server and your router have DHCP enabled...turn one of them off...

You don't have an external LAN at 192.168.2.xxx...that is an unroutable IP address and cannot exhist on the "public" side of your router...that LAN is internal, the same as your other lan...

If I understand you correctly,, you are trying to use your server as a gatway to subnet #2...Subnet #1 connects to the router...into the server...out of the server into subnet #2...

Google for ICS thru 2003 server or similiar...I think you will find your answer...I have never set up that connection and cannot direct you as to how to do it...

Thanks for your attention, but when i activated Routing and remote access, everything was OK.
Probably you don't read that i use in a few days ISA2004.
The only problem that I have now is :after 2 or 3 days internet droped down.So i must restart the routing and remote access service.
Any idea for that???
