Connecting 2 computers via modem

Is it possoble? Connecting 2 computers using modem? How can I tell the computer to answer the call?

If you are talking about connecting remotely....dialup networking can be used. One computer would have to be running in "server" mode and the other in "client". I don't see much point in spending money on PCAnywhere when you have built in software to do just that.

If you're talking about creating a small LAN (local area network). Then I highly recommend you buy two NIC's and a crossover cable. It's not only a whole lot faster, it's simpler to setup.
