I am trying to connect my computer to a wireless home network. We have managed to get it connected, with excellent signal strength, so it should be working, but no applications on the computer are able toaccess the internet, even when the firewall is switched off.

Any ideas....?

First: The security level in your browser could be at maximum.

Secondly: Check what IP address you are getting in your computer. It should start with 192.x.x.x as you must be using wireless router.

Thirdly: Try renewing ip address from command prompt. i.e. ipconfig/release and then ipconfig/renew.
