Comment: I have an XP laptop and a win 2000 PC connected to a wireless access point. Both can connect to the internet fine but I want to share files between them. The files I want to share are on the laptop. I made the folder on the laptop a shared folder. In my computer properties, both computers have same workgroup. I tried to setup a network using network wizard on XP laptop and created a net setup disk but netsetup disk not compatible with win 2000. When I go into my network places on both machines there is nothing to see. I had a look on the site but couldnt find anything. Can someone help please.....

Reply: (edit)You looked on this site and couldn't find one of the over two hundred references that say you have to build an account on each computer for the other machine? Must not have looked very hard. It usually takes more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech. - Mark Twain
