Hello and thankyou for viewing this post, im currently having problems networking my xbox with my pc then to my router..
my computer has 2 ethernet ports and i have a RJ45 cat5 cable connecting my xbox directly with my PC.
I also have my ethernet cord from my PC to my router. i got to display all network connections and see that it accepts my xbox, but i want to now be able to sign in my xbox through my computer to the internet.
i tryed to bridge the connections but got a ip message.. i dont know if i should do a static IP address or not .. this is my first time doing this and a bit lost.
my email is WwEddiewW@msn.com
the bridge always fails to setup, and im not sure why.
Thank you in advance,
Eddie

If the router uses 192.168.0.x you need to manually change it to 10.0.0.2.
M$ Internet Connection Sharing by default assigns 192.168.0.1 to the NIC which is connected to the XBox.
When done you need to right click on the NIC connected to the router and enable sharing, the XBox will receive an IP address from the XP PC DHCP.

Thank you for the response and great info, if possible could you please email me how to change the steps you told me. sorry for being ignorant of networking, thank you in advance.
