is it possible to connect 2 win2000's by crossover cable to ethernet cards on both and then have a 2nd NIC in one of those pcs that connects to the internet. See i know a hub/router is the easiest i already have a DSL modem connected to a Hub that has two pcs connected to it, they connect to the internet fine...But i would like to have a 3rd pc which is already connected to one of the computers by a crossover cable share the pcs internet connection? I dont want to spend anymore money on cabling! I am Cheap!

Answer: Yes it's possible to use a crossover-cable.
On the PC with two NIC's remember to share the "outgoing" NIC. You do this by Right-clicking on that NIC and choose Properties... Then follow the instructions and you would be homefree =)
