hi
In my house I have two networks. One network uses cable modem and the other one is connected to DSL. both have internet connection sharing enabled.
I need to connect the 2 networks together,
so that they can share files and etc.
but they should use internet through their respective ICS servers only, ie, the network whose server has cable modem attached to it should serve all the clients in that network for Internet and ditto for the network using DSL.In both the networks the ICS server has one NIC with IP : 192.168.0.1 and the clients use DHCP.
Please help

just to make it more clear....
Computer A has two NICs. One goes to cable modem and the second one has a crossover cable to Computer B, so Computer B uses internet through Computer A. Both have WinXP.
Computer C has two NICs. One goes to DSL modem and the second one has a crossover cable to Computer D, so Computer D uses internet through Computer C. Both have WinXP.
now I need to connect these two setups together so that we can see each others windows shares, all computers can see each other in network neighboorhood. both Comp A and C have IP 192.168.0.1 and Comps B and D have DHCP assigned address in the same range, ie , 192.168.0.X, subnet 255.255.255.0, the usual ICS setup
I hope that makes it a bit clear.
thanks

Desi, you're going to have trouble trying to connect the two and keep them accessing the internet from their respective connections. You can easily join them all together by getting a hub, switch, or a hub/routers. However, since they're all running the same IP addressing scheme exactly, you'll likely find it easiest to discontinue using one of the two connections and just have all your PC's access via one.

plus i dont think its possible...you would need to have a server in the picture that you can enable routing on to combine the two different networks..
