Connect to Internet on 2000 Server

I am not sure why a connection to the internet doesn't work on my machine. I have DSL and it shows that it connects but I can never browse any direction given is appreciated.

We could really do with some more info on your network setup.
My initial guess would be make sure the default gateway on your machine is set to the IP of the router
