Connect Laptops on diff domain or wrkgrp

Specs: Windows XP
I have two laptops , My office Laptop A is on domain like domain.com but Laptop B is my personal so is on default WorkGroup. Now, when i connect both laptops to Airtel Modem (Airtel is ISP Name) which is DHCP enabled , Internet can be accessed on both laptops. Laptop A cant ping Laptop B but Laptop B can ping Laptop A. I want both laptop to conncet each other and share/transfer files. How do i do that ?

I am trying this setup at my Home....

Laptop B can RDP to Laptop A. ..but Laptop A cant RDP laptop B

That could have something to do with removing it from the domain.

It's probably being blocked by your company's firewall, which certainly isn't a surprise.
