I was just wondering what would be the easiest way to connect 2 separate networks into one, they both have internet. They both have normal personal routers.
Example. I want to connect to my friend’s network that lives in Ohio and I love in Illinois, I would like to make the 2 networks communicate with each other. Also if possible take it down easy when I am done.
I have been thinking about this and the only way i thought of is VPN one router into the other but again i do not have that nice of a router.
I just think that it is quite high for a file server with only a max of 200 users getting files. And most of them are not on the server but we have an application that has cache files that are on thi
One is a VPN (there are many types of vpn's too). Others are programs such as gotomypc, logmein, pcanywhere, vnc's, hamachi, messengers, torrents, remote desktops, barracudadrive and I'd guess more than a few other ways.
The easiest (and it isn't that easy sometimes) may be to use a messenger or other type of chat program. Many allow whiteboard and file sharing.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
I know how to VPN and file transfer through messaging programs, what I’m trying to do is way more advanced. Basically I want to be able to share 1 LAN network between 2 separate internet connections kind of like a P2P but with cable internet not T1’s.
We have 2 connections 1st is Ohio connection and 2nd is Illinois connection. I want a P2P over cable to connect Ohio and Illinois connection so they act like they are on the same LAN. This is for various reasons.
For example on my Xbox (original) if I want to play Halo (the first one) over the internet and I want to play with my friend(s) I need to setup a LAN xbox live is not supported. I could use “Xbox Connect” which allows me to do this but trying to do it without it because there are many other reasons.
