YOu need a direct cable connection cable...check belkin on part number (F3D508-06)..after that you need direct connection program from microsoft...it comes with windows..hope this helps

It also depends on how 'CONNECTED' you really want to be. If you just want to transfer some files because they are too big to go on floppies OR if you are trying to get the WIN9x folder onto the laptop to install the OS because it doesn't have CDrom capability then the DCC cable with a program like LapLink3 on this page is good: http://www.geocities.com/prestonlewis/ . You CAN go through the hassle of setting up MS Direct Connect. Depend on what you are wanting to use the connection for and how often. If you are looking to get good speeds or access between the computers like a NETWORK I don't think this is going to satisfy. my 2 cents. jer...

The original specification was "using only lpt1". Sometimes we answer the question that was asked instead of reading into and 'fixing' the problem that wasn't explained. : )
