I want to connect computer A to computer B. They are about 4 miles apart. Computer A has a high tower to place a 24 dbi antenna. Computer B is in town with height restrictions. There is a location point (called C) that has a tower. Point C is between A and B about 3 miles from A. Would the following work? Place a wireless access and a 24 dbi antenna at A pointed towards C. Place 2 wireless access units with 24 dbi antennas at point C with one pointed towards A and the other towards B. Have a wireless router at point B and a 24 dbi antenna. Set the access channels at tower C to different channels. Place the wireless access units in weather proof boxes on the tower to minimize cable loss. I have seen several companies advertise that their 200 mw access points with 24 dbi antennas will give a range of 30 miles. Has anyone done something similar to the above? Thanks
