It is certainly possible to connect two routers to one modem, but why?
Unless you have a real need for two routers, stick to one. Adding a second router will only add complexity and make troubleshooting more difficult.

If your isp provides you with two ips via the modem you could put a switch between modem and routers which would provide a physical connection as well as providing the wan interfaces with valid ip addresses.

As you can see this is a two part process.
