Solved Config default Cisco switch over TCP?

Cisco Asa 5520 vpn/firewall
October 10, 2011 at 13:28:03
Specs: Windows XP
I have a Cisco switch that got reset. I can still see it from another switch on the network over CDP, where it shows up as "Switch." Any way I can reconfigure it remotely?

Also, the tagging system on here hates me. I never seem to be able to change a tag from a previous post.

If the unit has been reset to factory defaults then you likely can't access it remotely because it won't have an IP address.

Of course, I'm assuming a lot since you didn't bother to put in the model of switch you're talking about (useful information you should have included in your post)

Every Cisco switch I've worked with when reset has no IP address.

I am the captain of my soul.
