I am trying to connect two wrt54g wireless routers together. I am trying to figure out how to have the two connect without having them physically connected together (without the cat-5) Is it possible to do this?

You can't configure an wireless access point [which is what is builtin to the router] to be a bridge. That is why they make wireless bridges.

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

Can't say I'd bother with it myself though

Could also be a good way of making a boat anchor out of your router if the hacked software does awry.

Give a person a fish you feed them for a day.
Ask a person to internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
