Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate

Specs: Windows Vista
Alright, I have a domain controller running windows 2008 that also serves as a print server for a small home network. My laptop runs Windows 7 and is a registered computer on the domain. I can access all resources on the domain from domain users no problem. When I attempted to add a domain printer to the local account on the laptop I supply the necessary credentials to access the server but when I attempt to supply a user name and password to add the printer nothing works. I have tried every user account available to me, even the administrator account on the server. Nothing works.

You are logging into the domain, correct? Is the Windows 7 laptop a Home edition? Home editions can't join domains. Try to add the domain administrator account to the local machine in the control panel. that has helped me with many problems.

Is the printer connected to the server by a USB port or does it have it's own IP address?
