Just wondering if any of you are familiar with "computertraining.com" It is a company that has a number of locations over here in the North East. I am in Pennsylvania and am wondering if I should really shell out $23K for a 6 month course to get certified MCSE. Classes are two nites a week, 6-10pm. The 23K includes books, classes, and all the testing fee's etc...Is it worth it, or is it a rip off?? I have to give an answer to the guy tomorrow if I wanna start the January courses on Monday nite - before the $2000 2005 price increase. They claim they find you a job within 90 days of graduation. Could someone please advise me if I should do this. Or is it much more worth it to do on my own?
Thanks a lot!

I'm not familiar with the company at all, but did a Google search and came up with the following link:

You might want to check it out, and do a Google search yourself to see what else you can find. $23,000 sounds awfully steep!

There is an institute which located in New York City, they offer a program called 'Networking Technology' that included A+, N+, MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CNA,CST, Java, Linux and Visual Bassic. It is 16-month associate degree program and the tuition is less then $20,000, all kind of financial aid or grants available as well.

A few good books and a lot of reading will do you as much good. You have to learn it yourself as no one will be helping you later. Most people need the push from an "instructor" and the pain of spending big bucks to keep them turning the pages late at night. Just like they need a "manager" and the pain of no $ to keep them working.

Well, thanks for the input guys. I gave the Director of Admissions my answer last night when he called. NO! Of course he tried to give me a guilt trip, but I gave it back to him. hehe...

I'll do it on my own time.
