I have a cable internet connection running through a modem to a router that I share with my roommate, his works just fine but my computer won't recognize it at all except that on the port it has two orange lights. The problem is the same even if I use a different cable and go plug it straight into the modem. Please help

try here and download the appropriate driver for it. should be the broadcom one, I am not sure about the wireless one, you might have to download them and try to install them seperately.
