I have a network between a Dell win98 PC and a WinXP Pro laptop using a crossover cable,assigned IP addresses. The win 98 computer will not shutdown.Remove the network card it will shut down. Change network cards same problem will not shutdown. Apply third party patches still will not shut down. Have turned of all items in msconfig startup still the same. Help
