hi;i hv a dell inspiron 1520 notebk its abt 2 yrs old recently i expirenced tht my computer was slow and getting freezed frequenly thn got my system reinstalled through the call service hv norton, its a renewed version just few days back thinking virus might be there in the computer now the problem is tht whn i am using the system at times it shut down automatically or get freezed

try removing one ram module ( if you have 2)...
if only one...then try out another one...
also make sure that the computer is not overheated...check the power supply...

...fans working properly ???...
