Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 3 GHz / 759 MB
I am connected to the internet through a DSL connection.
I am using a old Linksys usb wireless connection (WUSB11v2.8).
I have entered in my password and user id for my DSL connection and it comes back as logged on to the Verizon network.
My connection signal is a strong.
But I can not seem to be able to use the internet.
I am using Firefox 3.6.xx
I have checked the proxy and setting and is set to "No Proxy"
One other point is I am not able to access my home network. It asks if I have permission, which I do.

Any ideas as to what to check?

Advise you to connect computer directly to DSL modem, this will test whether there is problem on Internet connection.

If it works, probably there is configuration problem on wireless router, you should log on to wireless router configuration page and recheck the configuration again. If you need more helps, this is an example of wireless router configuration, feel free to take a look.

After that, check out this wireless adapter configuration to connect to wireless network.

Hope this helps.
