computer detects internet but can't access it

Specs: Windows Vista, Intel Core2 Duo @ 1.83GHz / 3.00 GB
I just blasted a virus off my laptop, but now it's got a funny little issue. It will connect to wireless internet, my programs will search for and download updates, and it will even detect nearby computers, but when I try to access the internet using any kind of browser it's as if there's no network at all. Could it be anything in the registry? I'm an intermediate techie, so I know my ins and outs, but this has me stumped.

Also, in case it's relevant, when I start my laptop up an error message pops up saying "error loading C:\...\ovedujug.dll The specified module could not be found"
This only happens after the virus, so I'm guessing it's connected.

If you go into your browser, (gonna be vague here because you didnt specify which you are using), go into tool>options>find where you setup the network connections and see if it is set to use a proxy or if it is set to no proxy.

My name is JRComp, and I approve this message.

Derp, that was simple. Could've sworn I tried that already, but it worked! Thanks
