Hi,
I am trying to connect a home network to share cable connection. I have a Motorola Surfboard cable modem that hooks up fine with USB to my PC, but when I hook it up as Ethernet all of the lights flash like it is receiving data, but I cannot access the internet from my PC. Are there some special settings to use for Ethernet?

I want to hook it up to my broadband router for a home network but it uses Ethernet as well which my PC won't detect. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Amber

The first question I always ask is if you can ping the web sites. if not, check the DNS settings first, or post ipconfig /all here.

or you can go to http://www.ChicagoTech.net >do-it-yourself tools to do the troubleshooting.
