Causing it?

- Malfunctioning WiFi router.
- Intermittent Internet connectivity via your ISP.
- Weak WiFi connection.
- Lousy WiFi card software.
- Incorrectly configured WiFi connection.
- MAC filter settings on router.
- Interference with cordless phones in same WiFi band (i.e. 2.4 ghz).
- Unhealthy PC, spyware/malware on PC.
- Firewall settings on the PC.
- PC WiFi card issues (could be on the fritz).

Just another stupid saying...

Do you have any other wireless clients connected to your wireless network that are working?

If yes, open a command prompt window (Start >> Run >> type cmd and hit Enter) on the one that isn't working, and also on one that is and perform the following command:

ipconfig /all

Now compare output. The only thing that should be different is the actual IP address. Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS addresses should all be the same.

What did you find?
