Is there a way to combine my DSL internet connection with my neighbor's digital cable internet connection to get faster internet? We are both interested to see if we can stream in HD. We both use 54mbps wireless routers and receive each other's signals well.

I think you'd be better off using a wired solution. If the drivers for the nic allow it I'd offload checksum to the nic.
Wireless takes a lot of overhead on the system.
If you insisit there are many products and solutions to use two internet connections. Your main issue is that it would be difficult to get a stream across the two at the same time. (well, impossible for the most part)
