Comment: Host running Win98se w/ICS installed. Client running Win98. Client able to ping numerical address in dos (thru host to internet) but unable to ping URL. Browser (IE5.5) unable to recognize numerical or URL address. This configuration has worked in the past but other than a severe crash on the client I don't have a clue as to what changed. I've checked winsock files as suggested in the help files but honestly not sure of what belongs where. Any help is greatly apprieciated.

Reply: (edit)Modify the NIC interface and add missing DNS parameters. The computer cannot resolve if not able to reach any dns server.
