Im having trouble connecting my networks one computer is running Xp Home and i can see my computer running xp Pro fine. Its the xp pro computer im having trouble with. Im trying to install the Client for Microsoft Network and its not showing in the add client only one that shows is Client for Netware. Can anyone tell me or direct me to a link where i can get Client for Microsoft Network installed or maybe enable it even though i dont see it in the lists of components .

Have you checked, whether it's already installed.
Normally, if the client is already installed, it will not be listed in the list of installable clients.

if home can see pro the client is already installed on the pro box. disable your firewalls which is the usual reason for what you describe.
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Hey thanks for the reply. No its not installed. Only two things that are installed are "file and print sharing and internet protocol". Im on the xp pro computer now and i cant see the xp home computer. On the xp home computer it has client for microsoft neworks installed and i can see the xp pro fine everything thats shared on it also. I tried uninstalling my driver on the xp pro machine and the only things that list on the components are the same two. I try to add client and it only shows the cleint for netware. I was thinking cause on the client services and protocols it pnly lists digitally signed drivers. can that be the problem?? if so how can i make it so i can add other clients? Can i download the client for microsoft networks from somewhere?

I think, it's not possible to install file and print sharing without microsoft client.
As I know, you can't download microsoft client from elsewhere.
And you don't need to, because it's on the installation cd.
So I think, the microsoft client is installed but not shows as an installed client.
That would declare, why you don't see the microsoft client in the list, when you try to install additional clients. This can happen, if a registry key is missing, but
don't ask for which registry key is missing.
I don't know.

I ran the network setup from the cd the same on both computers still xp pro computer isnt allowed to view xp home computer.. any suggestions im open to anything
