Hello guys. Got a question. Is there a way to allow client computer to use/access software (ie. Word, winamp, games etc) that has been installed on server machine?. Main reason; 1) tight budget to buy multiple similar software, 2) old games (installed on server) are quite hard to find, want to share it with my brother :D. For small home network with 4 computer (all have Win XP installed). Really appreciate any suggestions and info. Thanks

No you cannot. Applications have to be installed on the computer it is running on. The chances are they will need registry entries and DLL files and it will try to get them from the computer it is running on, not the server.

There are exceptions with programmes that are written and designed to be run from a server but they tend to be commercial applications and usually cost money, more than the standalone version.
