Specs: Win Server 2007, 4 gb
would like to get clarification for cisco catalyst 2950 series that is a 24 port switch. it a gigabit switch?
2.what is a fiber integrated switch?is the above switch fiber enabled?
3.what does specifications such as 10Base-T/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX mean.

more importantly,is it a Giga bit switch?

1) Not to the desktop. The ports you plug clients in to are 100 Mbps. The backplane is gigabit.

2) You can buy a gbic fibre optic connector that plugs into the expansion module on the front of a 2950 to interconnect them with fibre. The gbic connectors are gigabit.

3) You could easily google each to find out what it means. In fact, I'm going to let you instead of telling you.
