I just bought myself a cisco 2505 router off of e-bay and I am attempting to configure it to work with my cable modem. I have IOS 11, I know that I could get it to work with static IP's, but my ISP uses Dynamic addresses, just wondering if anybody knows how I could get this workin! thanks

Um.. thanks for the FYI, but not exactly what I was looking for. I need to know if there is anyway to get an Eth interface to obtain an IP from the ISP's DHCP server, then how to configure NAT on the router.

Does the router have Ethernet ports on it? If so, you will have to try and upgrade to IOS 12.2 to use DHCP client on the external nic. This can be easily configured by Config Maker.
