Ok, question for all the Cisco folks. I purchased a Cisco 1417 router on ebay to replace the router provided to me by my ISP (A 2Wire Wireless GW router). My connection works fine on this router so I know the line is up and good. My problem is with configuring the new router. I'm fairly experienced with Cisco equipment, but I've not set up a DSL connection with Cisco gear before, so I'm a little lost. If someone can tell me the basics of getting the DSL connection up and running I'd really appreciate it. My connection specifics: G.DMT Annex A DSL Channel Fast Alcatel DSLAM ATM PVC 0/35 ATM Encap LLC I had a semi working configuration, but I was receiving lots of ilmi encapsulation errors. I based my configuration off of: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/794/adslguide_pppoe_dynmc.html But I think that configuration is for a 8xx series router and some of the commands do not work (IE, protocol pppoe under vpdn-group pppoe, and bundle-enable) The furthest I've gotten is getting all the interfaces up, but I can't seem to pull an IP address from my ISP. So, what piece of the puzzle am I missing?
