in an attempt to make my D-Link WBR 2310 wireless router more secure I changed the default password. i think something went wrong when i changed botht eh Admin & User to the same name/password. now when i log into it it won't let me make any changes. i get the message "only the admin can make changes."
question is how do i change the password back to admin so i can start over?
i dont' want to go back to factory defaults because we have two wireless computers hooked up to tour computer & i wouldn't be able to figure out how to se them up again (as we had someone else do it before.)
what can i do???
thanks!

Remember that names and passwords are case sensitive so I would keep trying different ways of spelling your name and password otherwise the only recorse is to reset the router and start over reconfiguring the router.

thanks for you response. i know the username/password and i can get into my settings with it. when i change the settings & try to save it, i get the error message. i think i messed up by changing the user/password for both teh admin/user and now it doesn't recognize me as the administrator and i can't do anything about it becaues i alwasy get logge din as a user now.

Have you tried to log in with the old administrator and password?

You should be able to go into each section of the router and print what is on the screen for configuration which would help in reconfiguring it if you had to reset the router too.

that's a great idea... thanks, i will do that!
so if i reset the router, would I only have to reconfigure the settings on the main computer that is hooked up to the router?? or would i need to also reconfigure anything with the other two computers i have hooked up to my network??
thanks!

All you have to do is reconfigure the router from any computer hard wired to it.
