Specs: Windows Vista
I have a wireless laptop that cant get on the internet now that i've moved to another house hold. We have a wireless-g access point WAP54G. The access point is connected to a switch, and the main computer is also connected to the switch. The cable modem is connected to the uplink slot.

Main computer has Vista and laptop has XP if that affects anything.

main computer has access to internet. laptop doesn't. I think i've found the correct wireless network but it has security enabled. If this is the correct network how the heck to i remove the password or how do i even make sure this is the correct network?

Unplug the access point and then see if the laptop sees a network. If it does it's not yours.

My own network is called Dell ...... and I found out so is one of my neighbors.

I would try moving the cables into different slots on the switch....or try a different set

Try hitting the reset on the access point .
