Comment: Hello I have a desktop PC with a folder on it containing my videos taken with my hard disk camcorder and it's 16.7GB. My PC has no Burner but my laptop has... I am on a wireless network with both computers connected to it seperately, is there any way of transferring the folder from one to the other using the network? The computers are connected to the router wirelessly but I can't see one computer or the other... Thanks Paul

Reply: (edit)Move the folder to the shared folder on the laptop. Then the desktop should see the shared folder in the My Network Places if both have the same Network name. Thanks

Reply: (edit)You need to configure file and print sharing otherwise the two computers will not be aware of each other. Go to Network Places and click on Setup home or small office network. Answer the questions and Windows should configure the computers so that they can see each other. You need to do this on both computers. Then you will be able to transfer the files from the desktop to the laptop. Stuart
