Comment: Mightily ticked off by wiring Cat5 cables to RJ45 plugs - I have just a cable crimper but I'm sure there must be a tool out there which simplifies the process of inserting the wires into the plug? Appreciate any info on good tools. TIA

Reply: (edit)That would be a popular thingy I'm sure! I know that the manufacturing process has to have some sort of quick and easy way of doing it, but I don't know how to get that down to our level. :)

Reply: (edit)Plugs are a problem...that's for sure!!! However, on sockets, I get the wired arranged and spread out in a bit of a "fan" shape, then I cut the wires with a scissor at about a 45-60 degree angle... Then holding the socket "upside down" you can "lay" the wires on the plastic "shelf" and starting from the right side and working to your left, the wires will stick in pretty quickly... Hope this explanation is understandable... Steve
