Comment: i'm using a router and i generally have no problem viewing web pages. occasionally, however, i am unable to view the page; forcing me to refresh multiple times to finally view the page. do i have to do some port forwarding here (using internet explorer)? my other question is about my other computer connected to the router wirelessly. generally, the wireless ethernet card indicates an "excellent signal," sometimes falling to "good." nevertheless, occasionally this computer is unable to connect to the internet because it can't find the network at all, and eventually finding it again. what is (are) the cause(s) of this?

Reply: (edit)For the wireless, there is too many missing information in order to give an answer. It may be caused by EMI, ESD, Multipath, wrong polarization,... Concerning the router, are you sure you are not using "On demand" PPPoE? Set a keep alive may help. Danny Larouche
