Ok so i have a linksys router, beenusing it for quite a long time now, and whenever i try to connect to the internet straight from the cable modem, without the router, I can't use the internet in any way. No messaging, bnet, ,ie, just nothing. I have restarted, reinstalled hardware(nics), tried creating new network connections, and I can't think of anything else to do.

Sorry if this is vague. Thanks in advance

I think you ISP has registered the name of you router's MAC address. This would be true if you did the initial connection with the router.
