Comment:

Ihave a linksys four port router with cable ISP.
It works perfectly on one computer but I can't
access the internet from the second one.
All protocols are set properly and the winipcfg
shows all correct settings. I can ping the
internet and get a reply 100% of the time from DOS.
My browser won't access the internet even if I
type in the sites IP address. Linksys tech. support
has given up.
I have reformatted my computer, removed the dial
up option, installed new cables without sloving
the problem.
Any suggestions?.. you may email if you like

thank you for your support

What is your IP numbering scheme?
Private addresses (10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x, 192.168.x.x)
or registered/public IP addresses?

From the above I assume they would be private.
Without the mentioning of NAT I would assume that
would be your issue.
