Can't share files

I have a PC connected to a wireless router/modem that connects to adsl. My laptop has a wireless network card. I have used the Windows Wizard to create a wireless network, and thehome network wizard to network the two machines. They are both on the same workgroup. The laptop sees the PC in it's Workgroup, but the PC does not see the Laptop. Also, the laptop cannot access the PC, it gives an error (no connection). I have set up zonealarm on the PC to allow the IP. The laptop just uses windows firewall.
Is there an obvious reason as to why they cannot see each other?

A bit embarassing - it works now, I have a feeling it was because I hadn't fully rebooted both machines after hanging the firewall settings etc...
While I have a thread open, though, is it possible to have the Laptop on this home network, and also have it networked at work? I assumed as there is only one Domain you can enter you cannot network it on more than one?
